Dave joins The Cultural Take as a very experienced yachtsman.

His days on the water started at birth on Long Island Sound in Connecticut as his parents were avid sailors. His passion grew as he developed the love of competing in sailing at the age of 8 and spent a significant amount of time on a variety of sailboats with some elite coaching.  After his younger days on the Sound, he quickly found the love of sailing on bigger sailboats that raced in the open ocean. He eventually found a living working on some of the more well known racing sailboats as a vital team member on both the east and west coast.  .

After 40 years on the mainland, Dave decided to make his mother's childhood home of Kauai his as well. He currently works for the best ocean tour company as a Captain and enjoys the adventurous conditions and outdoor lifestyle the beautiful island has to offer.
